How to complete a GAISB capstone.
The capstone is where the credential earns its weight: a real, working build assessed against the standard.
Choose a real problem
Capstones are built on real work: a genuine workflow, dataset, or business process from your job or a client. Toy problems are returned unassessed.
Scope it against the domains
Your capstone must demonstrate competence across the CBK domains for your level. Use the capstone brief for your credential to map deliverables to domains before you build.
Build in the labs
Build inside the GAISB Labs in Prompt Atlas. Keep every artifact: prompts, iterations, evaluations, governance notes. The process is assessed, not just the output.
Document the outcome
A capstone ships with proof: what the system does, what it replaced, measured results, and its limits. For Team Architect, this is the dividend ledger and handoff pack.
Submit for assessment
Submit through the candidate portal. Your capstone is reviewed by a four-person GAISB panel against the published rubric. Pass thresholds are published per level.
Revise if required
Conditional passes receive specific revision notes and one free resubmission. Full rubric transparency. You always know exactly what to fix.
Never build any part of a candidate's capstone. Coaching is limited to scoping and rubric interpretation. The work must be the candidate's. See the pedagogy guide, section on assessment integrity.
The credential is issued only when the exam is passed and the capstone is Accepted. Neither one blocks the other: a candidate awaiting Revise & Resubmit can still sit the exam, and passing the exam does not certify anyone until the capstone is Accepted. Capstone outcomes are Accepted or Revise & Resubmit.
